Our client is a well-established building contractor specialising in delivering high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across London. Due to continued growth and the launch of a prestigious project in St John’s Wood, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to take full responsibility for all electrical packages on site.

Role Overview
As the Electrical Manager, you will oversee all aspects of electrical installation, coordination, quality assurance, and compliance across both the residential and commercial elements of the project. You will act as the main point of contact for electrical subcontractors, provide technical oversight, ensure all works meet design specifications, and drive safe, efficient progress throughout the construction programme.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Coordination
Lead, supervise, and support all electrical subcontractors on site
Coordinate electrical installation activities to align with the overall construction programme
Attend daily/weekly progress meetings and liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, and the Design Team
Work closely with mechanical teams to ensure seamless MEP coordination
Technical Oversight
Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, schedules, and specifications
Identify design conflicts or buildability issues and communicate solutions
Monitor compliance with BS7671, building regulations, and project specifications
Oversee testing, commissioning, and sign-off documentation
Quality & Safety
Conduct routine inspections, audits, and snagging of electrical installations
Manage RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work
Ensure all operatives follow site health & safety procedures
Maintain meticulous records for quality assurance and handover
Progress Reporting
Track installation progress and report to senior leadership
Manage RFI submissions and assist with technical queries
Support the preparation of handover packs and as-built documentation
Required Experience & Qualifications
Black ECS Manager Card
Proven experience as an Electrical Manager / Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Supervisor on major residential or mixed-use projects
Strong working knowledge of electrical building services, distribution systems, containment, and fit-out packages
Ability to read, interpret, and challenge technical drawings
Excellent communication, leadership, and subcontractor management skills
SMSTS, SSSTS, or equivalent safety qualifications
City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications in Electrical Installation
