​Electrical Project Manager

About the Project - 

We are delivering a high-specification hyperscale data centre development and are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical package on a freelance basis. This mission-critical project involves managing all aspects of electrical delivery – from design coordination through to installation, commissioning, and client handover – within a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering large-scale data centre projects, with a strong technical grounding and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities - 

• Full management of the electrical scope from pre-construction through to completion

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams for all electrical systems

• Oversee design coordination and ensure alignment with client specifications and project requirements

• Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery

• Track and manage programme milestones, mitigating risks and driving progress

• Manage procurement of specialist materials and long-lead equipment

• Ensure health & safety compliance across all site activities, in line with CDM and RAMS requirements

• Lead on system testing, commissioning, and witnessing to ensure operational readiness

• Uphold quality assurance through rigorous inspections, snagging, and defect resolution

• Maintain detailed records including progress updates, procurement schedules, H&S documentation, and cost tracking

• Attend and lead project meetings, providing clear, actionable reporting to senior stakeholders
