Job description
Electrical Site Manager
We are currently working on a commercial construction project (fit-out, shell & core, office block, retail centre, or mixed-use development) and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join the team on a freelance basis.
This role requires a strong, hands-on Electrical Site Manager who can take full responsibility for managing electrical works on site, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and compliance are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Overview
As Electrical Site Manager, you will manage and coordinate all electrical activities on site, leading electrical teams and subcontractors while working closely with the Project Manager and Main Contractor to deliver the project successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all electrical trades on site, including electricians and subcontractors
Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day electrical site activities
Interpret drawings, specifications, and designs, ensuring works are delivered to specification
Carry out regular site inspections and quality control checks
Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other trade managers
Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements, including RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work
Review and manage testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation
Monitor progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and implement solutions
Manage snagging, defect rectification, and final handover documentation
Maintain accurate site records, reports, timesheets, and material usage
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Electrical Site Manager or supervisory role
Proven experience managing electrical works on commercial or industrial projects
Valid ECS Gold Card
SSSTS (SMSTS desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
