​RTL Group are seeking a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to work out of the office in Aberdeen 3 days a week and 2 days from home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering team delivering brownfield site modifications in the petrochemical sector.

The Role

• Lead a team of civil and structural engineers and designers.

• Act as the key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders.

• Coordinate and deliver engineering packages on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and calculations.

• Develop design reports and specifications.

• Provide guidance to junior team members and support their development.

• Promote safe design practices, including temporary works considerations.

Requirements

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) – essential.

• Strong experience in the petrochemical or energy sectors.

• Proficient in the design of:

• Foundations

• Pipe supports and pipe racks

• Equipment supports

• Drainage systems

• Steel and concrete structures

• Temporary works

• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

• Offshore experience beneficial but not essential.

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Hybrid working with a requirement to attend the Aberdeen office three days per week.
