M&E Site Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical packages on a residential design and build project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site M&E activities, ensuring that installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all M&E works on site, including supervision of subcontractors and direct labour.

  • Review and interpret M&E design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring works meet design intent and building regulations.

  • Oversee installation across all building services systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic services, lighting, small power, and fire alarm systems.

  • Liaise closely with project managers, construction teams, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Monitor site progress, identify potential risks or delays, and provide regular progress reports.

  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards, site RAMS, and company procedures.

  • Conduct quality inspections, testing, and commissioning of systems prior to handover.

  • Assist with snagging, defect resolution, and production of handover documentation.

  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly site records, including labour tracking, materials usage, and progress logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an M&E Site Manager or Supervisor on residential or mixed-use projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building services systems within a residential setting.

  • Proven experience managing M&E packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.

  • Valid ECS Gold Card or equivalent.

  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
