M&E Site Manager
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical packages on a residential design and build project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site M&E activities, ensuring that installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all M&E works on site, including supervision of subcontractors and direct labour.
Review and interpret M&E design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring works meet design intent and building regulations.
Oversee installation across all building services systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic services, lighting, small power, and fire alarm systems.
Liaise closely with project managers, construction teams, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor site progress, identify potential risks or delays, and provide regular progress reports.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards, site RAMS, and company procedures.
Conduct quality inspections, testing, and commissioning of systems prior to handover.
Assist with snagging, defect resolution, and production of handover documentation.
Maintain accurate daily and weekly site records, including labour tracking, materials usage, and progress logs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an M&E Site Manager or Supervisor on residential or mixed-use projects.
Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building services systems within a residential setting.
Proven experience managing M&E packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.
Valid ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
