Mechanical Fitter – Earthing
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliableMechanical Fitter – Earthingto join our team. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and testing of earthing systems in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in earthing installation and testing, with additional skills in tinning and brazing considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, connect, and test earthing systems across various sites and equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for accurate installation.
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance of earthing infrastructure.
Perform electrical continuity and resistance testing on installed systems.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of installations and test results.
Work collaboratively with electrical and civil teams to meet project timelines.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in
earthing installation and testing
in industrial or infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
Understanding of relevant standards and regulations related to electrical earthing.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
Tinning and brazing
experience.
Familiarity with grounding system design and calculations.
Vocational or technical training in electrical or mechanical fitting.
Qualifications:
Trade Certificate or relevant qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Electrical Installation.
Valid [Insert Applicable Certifications or Licenses].
Health & Safety Training (e.g., CSCS, OSHA, or equivalent depending on location).
Working Conditions:
