Overview

Our client, a leading Tier One M&E Contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a major hospital development. Known for delivering complex, high-quality MEP installations, they require a supervisor to oversee on-site mechanical works, ensuring all installations meet healthcare and project standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical installations including HVAC, medical gases, water, and drainage systems.

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and HTM standards.

• Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, programme, and quality.

• Support short-term planning, material control, and progress reporting.

• Attend coordination meetings and liaise with other trades.

• Conduct quality checks, snagging, and assist with testing and commissioning.

• Maintain health, safety, and compliance standards across all site activities.

Requirements

• Strong experience supervising mechanical installations on hospital or large commercial projects.

• Solid understanding of HVAC, public health, and plant systems.

• NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

• SSSTS or SMSTS (essential); CSCS Supervisory Card; First Aid (preferred).

• Experience with Tier 1 contractors and healthcare standards advantageous.
