​RTL Group are looking for a project manager on a permanent basis to work for a major civil engineering contractor in the Cambridge/ Peterborough.

Overview:
We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering key infrastructure projects across the UK water sector. Due to continued growth and secured frameworks, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex water civils projects in the Cambridge and Peterborough region.

The Role:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of clean and/or wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring that work is carried out safely, to specification, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects from pre-construction through to handover

• Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and contract obligations

• Manage site teams, subcontractors and client liaison

• Monitor project programme and budget performance

• Prepare progress reports, forecasts and attend site meetings

• Support planning, procurement and risk management processes

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within the water sector (e.g., pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, treatment works)

• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and CDM regulations

• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar)

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates preferred

• Full UK driving licence
