​We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to work on a major highways infrastructure project in Birmingham on a long-term contract basis.

This role will suit a Senior Engineer with strong setting-out, technical, and coordination experience on large-scale highways or civil engineering schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and engineering control of highways works

• Overseeing day-to-day engineering activities on site

• Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and junior staff

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

• Carrying out QA checks and ensuring accurate as-built records

• Liaising with the Site Agent, subcontractors, and design teams

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects

• Strong setting out and surveying experience

• Sound knowledge of highways specifications and construction methods

• CSCS card (essential)

• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred

• Ability to work independently and manage engineering teams

• Right to work in the UK
