​Senior M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Bias)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) to deliver a prestigious leisure spa development in London for a leading M&E contractor. You will be responsible for managing the mechanical services from pre-construction through to completion, acting in a client-facing capacity and working closely with the main contractor to ensure successful project delivery.

This role requires a technically strong, commercially aware M&E professional with proven experience delivering complex building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical services on a high-profile leisure and hospitality development

  • Take full ownership of the mechanical package from design coordination through to handover

  • Act as the client-facing lead, liaising directly with the main contractor, consultants, and stakeholders

  • Plan, programme, and oversee project delivery to meet key milestones

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and cost control

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams

  • Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and design information

  • Manage RFIs, variations, and change control procedures

  • Oversee procurement of mechanical plant, equipment, and materials

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety

  • Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical standards, regulations, and company procedures

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Project M&E Manager with a strong mechanical bias

  • Background delivering complex commercial, leisure, or high-end developments

  • Demonstrable client-facing experience dealing directly with main contractors

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC and major plant

  • Experience managing programmes, budgets, and subcontractor performance

  • Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Mechanical or Building Services qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent)

  • SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold)

  • Experience delivering high-value London projects

  • Background working for a recognised UK M&E contractor
