Senior M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Bias)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) to deliver a prestigious leisure spa development in London for a leading M&E contractor. You will be responsible for managing the mechanical services from pre-construction through to completion, acting in a client-facing capacity and working closely with the main contractor to ensure successful project delivery.
This role requires a technically strong, commercially aware M&E professional with proven experience delivering complex building services projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical services on a high-profile leisure and hospitality development
Take full ownership of the mechanical package from design coordination through to handover
Act as the client-facing lead, liaising directly with the main contractor, consultants, and stakeholders
Plan, programme, and oversee project delivery to meet key milestones
Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and cost control
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams
Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and design information
Manage RFIs, variations, and change control procedures
Oversee procurement of mechanical plant, equipment, and materials
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety
Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical standards, regulations, and company procedures
Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior or Project M&E Manager with a strong mechanical bias
Background delivering complex commercial, leisure, or high-end developments
Demonstrable client-facing experience dealing directly with main contractors
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC and major plant
Experience managing programmes, budgets, and subcontractor performance
Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
Mechanical or Building Services qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent)
SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold)
Experience delivering high-value London projects
Background working for a recognised UK M&E contractor
