Job description

​We are currently looking to recruit a Site Agent to work for one of our leading main contractor clients over on a long term water/heavy civils project.

Duties:

  • Proactively support the design and delivery teams to ensure that design and construction standards are maintained across all projects and relevant procedures are adhered to.

  • Assisting with the tender, pre-construction and delivery of a range of opportunities and highlighting risks.

  • Assist live projects by collaboratively developing further opportunities including cost and programme benefits.

  • Lead on innovation and developing high-performing solutions to technically challenging problems.

  • Effectively manage risk throughout the project. Including, time, money and HSQE.

  • Monitoring the programme, critical path and key milestones, advising the wider project team on any potential changes and leading challenge and mitigation actions. 

  • Supporting the preparation of reports and update of information displayed on sites in line with the reporting cycles.

  • Supporting the development of positive relationships with the client and key stakeholders.

  • Ensuring that claimable delays, innovation and opportunities are captured and quantified.

  • Proven record of delivering packages of a similar scope and scale.

  • Lead on managing the construction team on site including subcontractors and subcontract packages.

  • Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.

  • Able to lead in seeking solutions to technically challenging problems.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and leads the team in ensuring the culture is in line with our Company Values.

  • Is motivational and able to mentor junior members of the team.

  • Leads the team in demanding high standards of compliance in HSQE.

  • Proven track record of leading similar value works and delivery teams.

Tickets/Quals

Essential

  • Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control including forecasting.

  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

  • CSCS.

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS

  • Temporary works Coordinator

  • Confined space training

  • Lift co-ordinator/supervisor

  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 software
