Job description

​RTL Group are seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee the delivery of marine construction works in nationwide and be able to work hybrid and stay away when necessarily This is a key site-based role with responsibility for managing daily operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves staying away during the working week, therefore candidates do not need to be based locally. Accommodation is fully paid, and a food allowance is provided for both site-based and work-from-home days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of marine construction activities on site

  • Planning and coordinating works in line with programme requirements

  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Monitoring progress, reporting on performance, and managing site documentation

  • Liaising with the client, engineers, and project management team

  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent (or similar) on marine or heavy civil engineering projects

  • Strong knowledge of marine works such as coastal, harbour, quay, or marine infrastructure projects

  • SMSTS (essential)

  • CSCS (essential)

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Flexibility to stay away during the working week

What’s on Offer

  • £60,000 - 65,000 salary

  • Paid accommodation when staying away

  • Food allowance when working away £25 a shift. 

  • Hybrid/ office working when not on site (site-based with some WFH availability)
