​We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join an exciting earthworks project in Southampton. This is a 6-month contract role offering a competitive day rate of £300 to £350, depending on experience.

Role Overview

As a Site Engineer, you will take a pivotal role in delivering this large-scale earthworks project. You will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects, ensuring precision in setting out and compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying specifically for earthworks, including cut-and-fill operations.

• Monitoring levels, volumes, and site progress in line with project requirements.

• Managing quality assurance and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

• Coordinating with contractors and site teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Preparing and maintaining site reports and records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or similar large-scale projects.

• Proficiency in setting out using GPS, Total Station, and other relevant equipment.

• Strong understanding of earthworks processes, including ground modeling and material management.

• CSCS card (mandatory).

• Engineering qualifications or a relevant degree (preferred).
