​We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support a major heavy civils project in Guildford. Working with a respected civil engineering contractor, you’ll be responsible for setting out and overseeing works on a large infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for pipework, and RC structures.

• Managing site documentation including as-builts and quality checks

• Working closely with the Site Agent and Foreman to ensure programme delivery

• Ensuring technical compliance with drawings and specifications

• Overseeing subcontractors and maintaining health and safety standards

• Supporting the team with daily reporting and site coordination

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on heavy civils projects (e.g. highways, structures, earthworks)

• Strong setting out and surveying skills (GPS, robotic total station)

• CSCS card (Engineer or higher)

• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred

• Right to work in the UK

• Own equipment and transport preferred but not essential
