​We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to support delivery on an active substation project located in Norwich. This short-term role is ideal for an engineer with experience in civils and electrical infrastructure works, looking to take on a focused package over an 8-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for civil works, cable routes, concrete bases, and associated substation infrastructure

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with project quality and HSE standards

• Managing site records, QA documentation, and as-built drawings

• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives

• Providing accurate daily reports and supporting progress tracking

Requirements:

• Prior experience working on substations, civils, or utilities projects

• Strong setting out skills using GPS, total station, and AutoCAD

• Valid CSCS card

• SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred but not essential)

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Ability to work autonomously and manage site engineering duties with minimal supervision
