​Job Title: Site Engineer – Substation Project
Location: Ely
Duration: 8 Weeks
Rate: £300 – £350 per day (Outside IR35)
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineerto support a major substation projecti nEly. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an engineer with strong civil experience on energy or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and site engineering duties for civil works on a live substation site

• Working closely with the site management team and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met

• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

• Supporting quality assurance and producing as-built drawings

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civils or substation projects

• CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications

• Competent in using setting out equipment (e.g., Leica, Trimble)

• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on high-voltage or energy-related projects

• Able to commute to Ely and work full-time on site
