​Job Title: Site Engineer – Highways Package
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 6–8 Months
Rate: £370 – £420 per day

Our Client:
We are currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor who is delivering a major highways package in the Birmingham area. Due to an increase in workload, they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the project team for the next 6–8 months.

Role Overview:
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of highway infrastructure works including setting out, quality assurance, and technical support to the site management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying works in line with project specifications

• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of work completed

• Managing quality control and health & safety on site

• Liaising with project and design teams to resolve technical queries

• Maintaining site records, including RAMS, ITPs, and as-built drawings

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on highways or major civils projects

• Proficient with setting out equipment (Total Station, GPS)

• CSCS card essential

• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable

• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field

Contract Details:

• Start: Immediate/ASAP

• Duration: 6–8 months

• Rate: £370 – £420 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

• Location: Birmingham
