​We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a highways infrastructure scheme based in Colchester. This is a6-month contract with a confirmed start date of12th January, offering competitive rates for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for highways works including drainage, kerbing, and road construction

• Managing daily engineering activities on site

• Producing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs, and as-built records

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and survey teams

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards at all times

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects

• Competent with GPS and Total Station

• Strong understanding of highways specifications and procedures

• Ability to work independently and manage setting out

• Valid CSCS card (essential)

• SMSTS and First Aid (advantageous but not essential)
