Site Engineer – Water Treatment Scheme | Manchester
The Client and Project Info:
My client is a leading Civil Engineering Contractor who are currently recruiting a Site Engineer to work on a major water treatment scheme in Manchester. The project involves delivering key infrastructure works within a live water environment, requiring strong engineering and setting-out experience.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
Setting out and surveying works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Assisting with the delivery of civil works on a water treatment project.
Ensuring works are completed in line with programme and quality requirements.
Managing and maintaining accurate site records, including as-built drawings.
Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager.
Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out safely.
Carrying out QA checks and completing inspection test plans (ITPs).
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Site Engineer Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
Experience on water treatment, wastewater, or utilities projects is essential.
Strong setting out and surveying skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
CSCS card.
SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous but not essential).
Good communication and organisational skills.
