We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major tunnelling and shafts project based in Manchester. This long-term contract is offered on an Outside IR35 basis and provides an excellent opportunity to work with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for shafts, tunnels, and associated civil works

• Assisting in the coordination and supervision of site activities

• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Managing quality assurance and compiling as-built records

• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery

• Supporting site safety and environmental compliance

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on tunnelling, shafts, or major civils projects

• Strong setting out and surveying background (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD)

• Civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)

• CSCS card and full UK driving licence

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Rate: £330 – £390 per day (DOE)
