​My client are a top UK based construction and civil engineering contractor. Operating nationwide, delivering schemes within the energy ,transport/ infrastructure and aviation. They are looking to onboard a site manager to help deliver a new project being delivered in the North East. 

Site manager responsibilities: 

• Implementing and monitoring health, safety, quality, and environmental (SHEQ) standards to ensure compliance with water industry regulations.

• Leading and managing site-based teams and subcontractors to drive operational excellence.

• Delivering projects within budget and agreed timelines while proactively managing risks and programme adjustments.

• Contributing to P6 planning during the design stage and ensuring site lookaheads maximise efficiency.

• Collaborating on the Construction Phase Plan using digital platforms to streamline operations

• Reviewing and ensuring compliance with contract documentation

• Providing accurate and timely weekly and monthly SHEQ reports. 

Site manager requirements: 

• Relevant CSCS management card.

• SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme) or an equivalent internal course.

• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

• In-depth knowledge of SHEQ, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

• Proven experience managing subcontractors, supervisors, and on-site teams.
