​Site Supervisor – Cabling Project (Civil Engineering)
Location: Orkney
Rate: £320–£410 per day (DOE)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee a cabling package on a major civil engineering project in Orkney. This is a key role requiring strong site leadership, coordination of works, and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day supervision of cabling and associated civil works

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and plant

• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings

• Maintaining accurate site records, RAMS, and permits

• Liaising with project management, engineers, and client representatives

• Enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Requirements:

• SMSTS or SSSTS (valid)

• CSCS Card (Supervisor or Manager level preferred)

• First Aid at Work (FA)

• Proven experience supervising cabling and/or civil engineering projects

• Strong understanding of H&S regulations and site procedures

• Ability to work in a remote location and manage site teams effectively
