My client is a respected M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Duct Fitter’s Mate for a commercial project based in Bath. This role will involve assisting with the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems throughout the development.

Duct Fitter’s Mate Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Duct Fitter with all installation works.

• Supporting with moving, measuring, and preparing ductwork materials.

• Helping install rectangular and spiral ducting under supervision.

• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.

• Following instructions from the site supervisor and senior fitters.

• Using hand and power tools safely and correctly.

• Assisting with sealing, fixing, and hanging ductwork.

• Maintaining safe working practices at all times on site.

• Working alongside other trades and supporting the wider site team.

Duct Fitter’s Mate Requirements:

• CSCS card.

• Previous experience as a Duct Mate or in a similar mechanical/site labour role.

• Understanding of basic hand tools and site safety.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Experience on commercial projects is desirable but not essential.
