Electrical Project Manager 

We are currently working on a commercial construction project and are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the team on a freelance basis.

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing electrical works from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all electrical works on site from start to handover

  • Lead and coordinate electrical supervisors, engineers, electricians, and subcontractors

  • Review and manage electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and design information

  • Plan works, manage programmes, and ensure milestones are achieved

  • Coordinate closely with the main contractor, site manager, and other trade package managers

  • Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications

  • Manage health & safety across the electrical package, including RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work

  • Monitor quality control, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities

  • Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions

  • Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor packages as required

  • Oversee snagging, defects, and final handover documentation (O&M manuals, test certificates, as-builts)

  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and cost tracking where applicable

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Supervisor role

  • Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial projects

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning

  • Valid ECS Gold Card (or equivalent)

  • SSSTS or SMSTS

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors

  • Full UK Driving Licence
