​Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee a 12-month mixed-use development project in Milton Keynes. The role involves managing on-site electrical operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and programme targets — with a strong emphasis on quality assurance (QA) throughout all phases of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day electrical works from first fix through to commissioning.

• Supervise electricians and subcontractors to deliver work on time and to standard.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate works with other trades and attend site meetings.

• Ensure compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and building regs.

• Enforce on-site Health & Safety policies (toolbox talks, RAMS, site audits).

• Monitor installation quality and carry out snagging and defect resolution.

• Oversee QA processes, including:

• Completing ITPs and QA checklists

• Witnessing and recording test results

• Preparing and reviewing certification

• Track progress against the build programme and report to the Project Manager.

• Support commissioning and handover documentation.

• Manage deliveries, material control, and stock levels.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• ECS Gold Card (Black or Gold)

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role on mixed-use or large residential projects

• Strong understanding of QA procedures, test and inspection, and handover protocols

• Able to lead site teams and communicate clearly with clients and consultants

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection)

• First Aid at Work

• Familiarity with commissioning procedures and QA tracking tools

• Experience in commercial fit-out and multi-unit residential developments
