Company Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a large-scale construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in temporary site services or experience working for a main contractor, with a proven track record of managing electrical installation teams in fast-paced site environments.

Role Overview

As the Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day electrical operations on site, ensuring that all temporary and permanent electrical works are installed safely, correctly, and in line with programme requirements. You will coordinate electricians and subcontractors, manage quality and safety standards, and support the site and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electricians and electrical subcontractors

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and modifications to temporary site services (power, lighting, welfare, distribution boards, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with BS7671, site safety procedures, and company standards

  • Review drawings and support with technical queries

  • Conduct daily inspections, snagging, and quality checks

  • Manage permits to work, RAMS, and site documentation

  • Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, and other trades to ensure smooth delivery of works

  • Assist with testing, fault-finding, and commissioning activities

Requirements

  • Strong background in temporary site services or experience working for a main contractor

  • ECS Gold Card 

  • Proven site supervision experience within construction or M&E environments

  • Solid understanding of electrical distribution, containment, and site setup services

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and electrical schematics

  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • SSSTS / SMSTS 

  • Up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices
