Job description
My client are leading civil engineering and construction contractor. They are looking to onboard a foreman to help deliver projects across a framework being delivered for a valued client in Lancashire. My client operate across multiple sectors including water, nuclear, transport, infrastructure and aviation.
Foreman responsibilities:
Carry out Tool Box Talks and Start of Shift Briefings
Input to and monitoring of the agreed programme and budget
Maintain site records including daily diary, plant and labour returns, ITPs, etc
Organise and supervise the works to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental issues are maintained.
Review programme on a daily basis and assist the Construction Manager/Site Agents in identifying opportunities.
Record resources and monitor outputs against programme.
Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes/ variations, specialist attendance, and records of work related discussions with the client's operator.
Where self-delivering, control and manage outputs and work procedures ensuring works are maintained to a high standard and on programme.
Overall supervisory responsibility for the subcontractors, specialists and direct workforce (through the team of Foremen and Front Line Supervisors).
Ensure that good relations are maintained with staff at all times.
Foreman requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
CSCS Card - Gold/ Black.
SSSTS/ SMSTS.
First aid ticket.
Full UK driving licence.
Previous experience in a foreman's capacity.
IT literate.
Experience and background within the water sector.
