​Groundworks Supervisor / Foreman – Finishing Works

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing with follow-on projects across Sussex & the South East

We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor / Foreman to manage finishing works on a residential groundworks project based in Crawley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable supervisor looking for long-term continuity of work, with future projects already secured across Sussex and the South East.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Supervising and managing all finishing works on a residential groundworks site

• Overseeing daily site operations and coordinating labour

• Ensuring works are completed to programme and specification

• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site quality

• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and groundworks teams

• Completing daily records, progress updates, and snagging works

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor / Foreman

• Strong knowledge of residential finishing works, including:

• Paving, kerbs, edgings

• Drainage finishes and chambers

• Final levels, topsoiling, and external works

• Ability to manage labour and maintain productivity

• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred

• First Aid (beneficial)

• Valid CSCS card

• Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Ability to bring x2 experienced groundworks operatives, forming a 3-man gang

• Own basic hand tools

• Previous experience working on volume residential developments
