The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Freelance Groundworks Supervisor for a long-term position with a well-established groundworks contractor operating across the Swindon area. The client specialises in commercial and industrial groundworks packages on large-scale projects.

This role is ideal for a reliable supervisor seeking consistent, long-term freelance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising groundworks operatives and subcontractors on site

• Managing daily site activities to ensure programme targets are met

• Overseeing commercial and industrial groundworks packages including drainage, foundations, concrete works, and externals

• Ensuring all works comply with health & safety requirements

• Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers, and other trades

• Maintaining quality standards and productivity

• Completing daily site paperwork and reports

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor

• Strong background in commercial/industrial groundworks

• SSSTS or SMSTS

• CSCS Card

• First Aid (preferred)

• Ability to manage teams and work to programme deadlines

• Full UK Driving Licence
