Job description
Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical services scope across all project phases — design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors.
Oversee all mechanical installations (HVAC, plant, public health, and associated systems), ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource forecasts.
Provide leadership in progress meetings, design reviews, and construction planning discussions.
Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Proactively manage risk, change, and commercial performance to maintain profitability.
Support commissioning, testing, and client handover activities to ensure a seamless transition.
Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project delivery team.
Mentor and support junior engineers and site teams, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
Extensive experience managing large-scale mechanical packages on Tier 1 or major Tier 2 projects.
Proven background in delivering complex mechanical systems on commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
Strong technical understanding of pipefitting, plant, and building services systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, commissioning, and current industry regulations.
