​The Client and Project Info:

My client is a leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor to complete a long-term residential scheme in Kensington. The project involves high-spec luxury apartments, requiring strong leadership and a keen eye for quality.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager.

• Supervising and undertaking all mechanical installation works on a residential development.

• Managing and coordinating mechanical sub-contractors.

• Assessing the quality of work delivered by both the client’s labour and sub-contractors.

• Assisting the quality manager with all QA sign-offs and documentation.

• Identifying and resolving any technical or installation issues as they arise.

• Ensuring safe working practices are implemented and maintained at all times.

• Attending daily meetings with management, design teams and other trades.

• Delivering toolbox talks and site briefings.

• Arranging site inductions for new operatives.

• Driving productivity on site and pushing the project towards key milestones and completion.

Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:

• SSSTS or SMSTS.

• Previous experience on residential or high-end apartment schemes.

• Mechanical trade or Engineering qualification.

• 10 years’ experience working for Mechanical Contractors.

• Strong experience in mechanical building services on large-scale projects.
