Job description

​My client are a civil engineering business who operate across the UK. They deliver packages across multiple sectors including transport, water and renewable. They are looking to onboard a project manager to help deliver and on-going civil and infrastructure scheme in Central London.

Project manager responsibilities: 

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.

  • Prepare project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure contingency strategies.

  • Ensure that construction activities meet design specifications, standards, and regulations.

  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national regulations, permits, and environmental guidelines.

  • Conduct site visits, track progress against the project schedule, and resolve on-site issues.

  • Manage contracts, evaluate claims, negotiate changes, and ensure obligations are met.

  • Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and communicate updates to clients and senior management.

Project manager requirements: 

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • NVQ level 6.

  • CSCS card.

  • SMSTS. 

  • TWC/ TWS ticket holder.

  • Previous experience in a project managers capacity. 

  • IT literate. 

  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.

  • Full UK driving licence.
