About the Role
We are seeking an experiencedProject Manager / Project Directorto lead the delivery of majorhigh-rise construction projectsin Birmingham, from early planning through to final handover. This is a senior position suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong track record delivering complex multi-storey developments, and can drive excellence across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of high-rise construction projects, from pre-construction and procurement to delivery, commissioning, and completion.
Manage project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with programme, quality, safety, and budget targets.
Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and progress reporting.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, designers, and supply chain partners.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practice.
Solve complex site and design challenges to maintain project momentum.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and safety-driven culture.
Requirements
Proven experience overseeinghigh-rise or large-scale residential/commercial projectsfrom start to finish.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent commercial awareness and contract management capabilities (e.g., JCT, NEC).
Outstanding communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and drive successful outcomes on tight programmes.
Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or project management (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
