​Senior Engineer – Marine Civils 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering a major marine civils project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex marine and coastal infrastructure works, with accommodation (digs) provided for those working away from home.

The Role

• Reporting to the Site Agent and Project Management team, you will take a lead role in the engineering delivery of marine civils works on site, ensuring technical compliance, programme delivery, and high safety standards.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead setting out and engineering control for marine civils works

• Oversee and coordinate site engineers and subcontractors

• Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

• Manage temporary works coordination and implementation

• Review and produce method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation

• Liaise with design, commercial, and construction teams

• Monitor quality, productivity, and progress on site

• Maintain accurate site records, as-built information, and reporting

Senior Engineer Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on civil engineering projects

• Strong background in marine civils, marine infrastructure, or coastal works preferred

• Excellent understanding of setting out, QA, and engineering best practice

• Knowledge of temporary works and construction sequencing

• SMSTS (preferred) and valid CSCS card

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
