Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer/Sub Agent to join a major infrastructure project in Aylesbury, working on a complex shafts and tunnelling package.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile project, with work expected to run for a minimum of 12 months. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing engineering activities on site, ensuring technical compliance and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee shaft sinking and tunnelling operations

• Coordinate subcontractors and manage site logistics

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety, and environmental standards

• Support the delivery team with daily reporting, permits, and documentation

• Lead and mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

• Proven experience on tunnelling or shafts projects (major infrastructure desirable)

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid preferable

• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
