​We are recruiting Setting-Out / Site Engineers for a major train station upgrade project in St Albans. This is a long-term opportunity offering a full year of consistent work on a high-profile rail infrastructure scheme.

Role Responsibilities:

• Setting-out for civils and structural works across station platforms and surrounding infrastructure

• Working closely with the site management team and subcontractors

• Ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and to programme

• Daily reporting, quality checks, and maintaining site records

• Supporting the team with technical queries and problem solving

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Setting-Out Engineer or Site Engineer (rail/civils experience desirable)

• Strong knowledge of setting-out equipment and site documentation

• Valid CSCS card

• Ability to start ASAP

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

What’s On Offer:

• Long-term contract (minimum 12 months)

• Competitive Outside IR35 day rates: £380–£460/day

• Stable Monday–Friday working pattern (7:30am-5:30pm)
