​We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a long-term roads and infrastructure package across Ayrshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable, long-term work on a long term programme delivering highways, drainage, earthworks and associated civil engineering works within the region.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. You will be a key link between the site team, subcontractors, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities on roads and civil engineering projects

• Ensure all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance

• Oversee subcontractors, labour and plant resources

• Assist with short-term planning, RAMS, permits and site documentation

• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders

• Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Agent on roads and civil engineering projects

• Strong background in highways, drainage, earthworks or public realm works

• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) and First Aid (preferred)

• Sound knowledge of NEC contracts (advantageous)

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to drive programmes forward and solve problems on site
