​Job Title: Site Engineer – Highways

Day Rate: £350 - £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a reputable civil engineering contractor on a Highways scheme in Birmingham. This project is scheduled to run for approximately 8 months and requires a skilled individual with a solid background in highways and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for various elements of the highways scheme

• Ensuring works are carried out to the highest quality and safety standards

• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Managing subcontractors and coordinating with the site team

• Maintaining accurate site records and reports

• Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with daily site operations

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on highways or similar infrastructure projects

• Proficient with setting out equipment (e.g., Leica or Trimble)

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations

• CSCS card required

• SSSTS or SMSTS desirable

• Full UK driving licence
