​RTL Group are looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor working on a major civils project in Peace haven!

As the Site Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of the delivery team, responsible for accurate setting out and engineering control while supporting the site management and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate setting out and surveying of  structures, including piles, precast elements, concrete works, and associated groundworks civils.

• Maintain detailed site records, as-built surveys, and engineering reports.

• Assist in the development of method statements and risk assessments, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works.

• Coordinate with project and site teams, subcontractors, and  plant operators to ensure programme compliance and safe sequencing.

• Ensure that QA checks and ITP sare completed and properly recorded.

• Monitor materials, plant, and equipment usage and help forecast needs based on programme demands.

• Use surveying equipment including GPS, total station, and levels to ensure precise measurements and alignment.

Requirements:

• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer on  heavy civils projects.

• Proficient in use of surveying equipment (GPS, Total Station, Levels).

• Familiarity with environmental and tidal considerations for marine works.

• Valid CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred).

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
