​We are recruiting a Site Engineer to support a major bridge scheme in Birmingham. This long-term contract offers the chance to work on a high-profile infrastructure project involving complex structural and civil works. You will be involved in both design coordination and on-site engineering support throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with civil and structural works related to bridge construction and associated infrastructure

• Review design drawings, specifications and technical documents

• Provide site engineering support, including surveys, inspections and reporting

• Coordinate with designers, contractors and project stakeholders

• Monitor progress, quality and compliance with relevant UK standards

• Support construction planning, temporary works coordination and method statements

• Ensure all activities meet health, safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Experience working on bridge, highway or major civil engineering schemes

• Good understanding of UK standards and construction practices

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work independently under an Outside IR35 arrangement

• Site engineering or design office experience (both beneficial)
