​Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a major highways and infrastructure scheme in the Colchester area. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role on a high-profile project with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying works across highways and infrastructure packages

• Checking drawings, plans and quantities for accuracy

• Ensuring compliance with design and specification requirements

• Overseeing subcontractor works and ensuring safe site operations

• Maintaining site records, QA documentation, and as-built information

• Liaising with project management, designers, and the client team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within highways, infrastructure, or civils projects

• Proficiency with GPS / total station equipment and AutoCAD

• Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and road construction techniques

• CSCS card (minimum), SMSTS or SSSTS preferred

• Full UK driving licence
