​Site Manager – Internal Fit Out (Hospitals)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee internal fit out projects, primarily within live hospital environments and healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, supervising trades, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

This role would suit a detail-oriented, hands-on manager with proven experience in healthcare or clinical refurbishments, and the ability to deliver projects within occupied environments with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site activities for internal fit out and refurbishment projects

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and direct labour

• Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards

• Liaise closely with hospital estates teams, clients, and project managers

• Enforce infection control, safety, and access protocols within live healthcare settings

• Oversee materials, logistics, and sequencing of works to minimise disruption

• Conduct daily site briefings, inspections, and maintain accurate site records

• Report progress and issues to the project or contracts manager

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager on hospital or healthcare projects (essential)

• Strong knowledge of internal fit out and refurbishment processes (partitions, ceilings, M&E coordination, finishes, etc.)

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications

• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

• Experience managing works in live/occupied environments

• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one (preferred)

• Immediate availability preferred
