​We are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways and civil engineering project in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key leadership role on a long-term contract with a respected infrastructure contractor. The position is offeredOutside IR35and available for animmediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations and managing site engineers and subcontractors

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards

• Reviewing and implementing construction drawings and specifications

• Monitoring progress, preparing reports, and managing programme delivery

• Supporting site health, safety, and environmental compliance

• Liaising with the client, project manager, and wider delivery teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent on highways or large civil engineering projects

• Strong technical understanding of earthworks, drainage, and structures

• Civil Engineering degree or HNC/HND equivalent

• CSCS card and SMSTS certification preferred

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Contract Details:

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35

• Duration: 12 months (potential extension)

• Rate: £430 – £500 per day (DOE)

• Location: Glasgow

• Start: Immediate
