​Contracts Manager – Healthcare/Education/Commercial Construction

We are an established and growing construction company based in Bedfordshire, delivering high-quality projects across the South East. With a strong pipeline of secured healthcare schemes, we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen our senior leadership team.

This position requires a strong main contractor background and proven experience delivering healthcare construction and refurbishment projects within live or regulated environments.

The Role:

As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for multiple projects across the healthcare sector, ensuring operational excellence from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing several live healthcare projects simultaneously

• Leading and supporting Project Managers and site teams

• Ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality, and safety targets

• Maintaining strong client relationships, including NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers

• Managing risk, procurement strategy, and commercial performance

• Driving compliance in line with healthcare regulations and HTM standards

• Reporting regularly to Directors on project and financial performance

The Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrable experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role

• Strong track record delivering healthcare construction or refurbishment schemes

• Background working for a recognised main contractor

• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently

• Excellent commercial acumen and programme management capability

• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
