Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager with expertise in either Mechanical or Electrical services within fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, client-focused, and capable of managing all aspects of project delivery—from initial planning and programming to on-site execution and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage M&E fit-out projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

  • Develop, monitor, and update project programs, ensuring milestones and critical paths are maintained.

  • Manage project Profit & Loss (P&L), including forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation.

  • Prepare and review budgets, cash flows, and cost reports; liaise with QS teams to ensure accurate cost management.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing proactive solutions.

  • Support business development by contributing to sales and tender processes.

  • Collaborate with design, QS, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Monitor site progress, risk management, and health & safety compliance.

  • Mentor and develop project teams, promoting best practices in M&E project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience managing M&E fit-out projects.

  • Strong understanding of Profit & Loss, project budgeting, and cost management.

  • Experience in project programming and planning, including resource management.

  • Knowledge of Quantity Surveying (QS) principles and commercial processes.

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills; confident in presenting to stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability in sales support and business development.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-end fit-outs or complex M&E installations.

  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and sustainable building services.
