Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Ganger to join a well-established groundworks team on a residential housing development in Ross-on-Wye.

This is a long-term position with a reputable civil engineering contractor, offering consistent work and the opportunity to lead a small, skilled gang on a busy site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of groundworkers on-site

• Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec

• Reading and working from drawings and setting out where required

• Organising materials, plant, and labour

• Liaising with the site manager and subcontractors

• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a ganger on groundworks or residential housing projects

• Strong knowledge of all aspects of groundworks, including drainage, foundations, and externals

• SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)

• CSCS Card (Essential)

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work from drawings and manage site logistics
