​We are currently seeking an experienced Wireman to join our team on a National Grid (NG) project site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of electrical control and protection wiring associated with substations and HV equipment.

Wireman Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out wiring, glanding, and termination of multicore cables in substations

• Work from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings

• Assist with control panel installation and connection work

• Ensure all work complies with NG safety and technical standards

• Participate in site testing and commissioning activities

• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping

Wireman Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Wireman on National Grid or HV substation projects

• NG Person / BESC / Competent Person (CP) authorisation (in-date)

• Gold ECS card

• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

• Strong commitment to safety and quality
