Job Title: Project Manager – Healthcare
Location: London
Rate: (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (12–18 months)

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced project manager to lead the delivery of a £10 million healthcare project based in London. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in NHS project delivery, with experience managing complex stakeholder groups and working within healthcare environments.

Experience in internals and fit-out works on live healthcare sites will be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of a capital project within a healthcare environment

  • Oversee planning, procurement, programme management, and delivery stages

  • Manage contractors and consultants involved in internals, fit-out, and service infrastructure works

  • Work closely with clinical, estates, and operational teams to minimise disruption to services

  • Ensure compliance with NHS capital governance, HTM/HBN guidance, and local trust procedures

  • Maintain risk registers, programmes, and financial reports throughout the project lifecycle

  • Deliver effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience managing NHS or healthcare construction/refurbishment projects

  • Strong track record delivering fit-out or internal works within live healthcare or clinical settings

  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance, infection control, and decant planning

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience

  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management qualification

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills

  • Able to travel to site in London regularly

Desirable

  • Experience working directly for an NHS Trust or a contractor delivering NHS capital works

  • Understanding of NEC3/4 contracts and NHS capital processes

  • Experience with digital infrastructure, MEP coordination, or service reconfiguration projects
