​We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways project in Carlisle, running for the next 18 months. This is an excellent long-term opportunity on a high-profile infrastructure scheme with immediate start available.

Role Responsibilities:

• Setting out for highways works including drainage, earthworks, kerbs, and pavement

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards

• Managing and maintaining accurate site records (RAMS, as-builts, QA documentation)

• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the client team

• Conducting site surveys and checks using GPS/Total Station

• Supporting health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects

• Strong setting-out capability

• CSCS card (essential)

• SMSTS / SSSTS (preferred but not essential)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider delivery team

• Full right to work in the UK
