​We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a live highways and earthworks scheme based in Manchester. This is an immediate start for an 8-week contract, with potential for extension.

Key Details:

• Role: Site Engineer

• Location: Central Manchester

• Duration: 8 weeks (potential to extend)

• Rate: £300 – £350 per day 

• Start: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for highways and earthworks

• Managing quality control and site records

• Liaising with site management and subcontractors

• Ensuring health & safety compliance on site

• Contributing to progress reports and site meetings

Requirements:

• Proven experience in highways and earthworks

• CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage site-based engineering tasks

• Own engineering kit (robot/total station) preferred
